The Ski
The Sir Francis Bacon skis have long been favored by freestyle riders seeking creative expression, and the newly redesigned Line Skis Bacon 108 Skis take this beloved model to new heights. With a slight increase in width and enhanced stability underfoot, these skis deliver improved performance on hard snow conditions. The Bacon 108 remains the perfect tool for riders who crave a buttery-smooth experience, whether skiing forward or switch. Its versatility allows you to bring the park's playful spirit with you wherever you venture on the mountain.
Features:
- Rocker Type:The Line Skis Bacon 108 Skis feature a rocker profile with a 12mm tip rocker, 2mm camber underfoot, and a 12mm tail rocker. This design allows for enhanced floatation in soft snow and effortless turn initiation, while the camber underfoot provides stability and edge hold on firmer surfaces.
- Flex:Built with a Symmetric Flex™ pattern, the Bacon 108 Skis offer the same flex in front and behind your boot. This balanced flex distribution allows for consistent performance whether riding forward or backward, adapting equally to the terrain.
- Core:The skis utilize a Maple Macroblock™ core, consisting of two full-length maple stringers surrounded by aspen. This construction enhances the skis' strength and durability while providing a lively and responsive feel on the snow.
- Laminates:The use of Bio Resin in the laminates increases bonding with the core, enhancing the overall performance and durability of the skis. Additionally, the Thin Tip construction reduces swing weight, resulting in a lighter and more nimble feel.
- Sidewalls:Thick-Cut Sidewalls are incorporated into the skis to add edge strength and durability. This construction provides confidence-inspiring edge hold and stability, especially during aggressive maneuvers.
- Base:The Bacon 108 Skis feature a Fatty Base with a sintered 1.7mm thickness. The high-density sintered bases reduce friction against the snow, resulting in increased speed and improved durability for long-lasting performance.
The Bindings
The Griffon 13 bindings, a lighter alternative to the Jester model, bring the same advanced features to younger and lighter riders. Renowned as a remarkably versatile freeride option, it's crafted for adept to expert skiers. Sporting the Triple Pivot Elite toe and Inter Pivot 3 freeride heel, these components offer both lightweight and rigidity, bolstering edge grip and control. The inclusion of the Anti Ice Rail simplifies the removal of snow and ice from boot soles. The binding's Multinorm capability facilitates adjustment to touring, GripWalk, or alpine boot sole norms. Notably, the Griffon 13 boasts reinforced screws and a centralized swing weight, optimizing performance for spins and twists.
