Description
The Skis:
If you find yourself torn between a powder ski and an all-conditions ski, there's no need to compromise - the Blizzard Rustler 10 Skis offer the best of both worlds, and you won't regret your choice. Sporting an all-new design with FluxForm Titanal encircling the ski's perimeter and a meticulously tuned TrueBlend Freeride core, the latest Rustler 10 strikes a slightly different balance than its predecessor, leaning less toward "carviness" and more toward confidence at higher speeds. With a 102mm waist but ample surface area at the tip and tail, the R10 stands as the most versatile (and highly favored) ski in the exceptional Rustler series.
Features:
- Rocker Type Rocker Camber Rocker – This ski profile incorporates a rocker at the tip and tail, combined with camber in the middle. By reducing edge pressure at the ski's tips and tails, it enhances manageability and flotation on powder snow, while the camber ensures a solid grip on packed snow.
- Core TrueBlend Freeride Core – By harmoniously blending Beech, Poplar, and Paulownia woods in a uniquely balanced mix tailored to the performance requirements of each Rustler or Sheeva ski, the TrueBlend Free cores, though labor-intensive, enable an unprecedented level of flex tuning.
- Laminates FluxForm – Two Titanal components run along the ski's length on either side, tapering towards the ski's extremities. Paired with a separate Titanal plate underfoot, this construction fosters precise edge grip and dampening beneath the foot while allowing the ski's tips and tails to flex freely. FluxForm varies according to the model, with the Rustler 9 incorporating more metal than the 10 or 11.
- Sidewalls Sandwich Compound Sidewall – With the exception of specific junior models, all Blizzard skis are constructed with ABS or Phenol sidewalls, ensuring top-tier performance in terms of stability, power transmission, handling, and durability.
- Base Sintered Graphite Base
The Bindings:
The Griffon 13 bindings, a lighter alternative to the Jester model, bring the same advanced features to younger and lighter riders. Renowned as a remarkably versatile freeride option, it's crafted for adept to expert skiers. Sporting the Triple Pivot Elite toe and Inter Pivot 3 freeride heel, these components offer both lightweight and rigidity, bolstering edge grip and control. The inclusion of the Anti Ice Rail simplifies the removal of snow and ice from boot soles. The binding's Multinorm capability facilitates adjustment to touring, GripWalk, or alpine boot sole norms. Notably, the Griffon 13 boasts reinforced screws and a centralized swing weight, optimizing performance for spins and twists.
